Miami and the Everglades

When in Florida you need to visit this part of the
state and plan on maybe a 2 night stay as accommodations are pricey if you opt for a hotel on South Beach

(nickname SoBe)...or perhaps bunk up in Fort Lauderdale which is only a 30min drive up on the I-95. But once situated treat yourself by walking up Ocean Drive or Collins & Washington Avenues which are lined with the Art Deco Hotels that have interesting patio's/cafes and boutiques (KeyTip..there is a welcome Center located @ 1001 Ocean Drive) also plan a stroll at night and you will see all of this lit up in neon. The beach is basically between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean with lots of space for everyone to enjoy and with all the usual things any sunbather/beach bum would need to rent, plus also look for the colorful and unique lifeguard stands designed by architect William Lane
after Hurricane Andrew. Now once getting your fill of glitter and glam, why not head out to the Everglades for an Airboat
Tour ( did you know that Dr. Alexander Graham Bell built the first Fanboat in my hometown of Nova Scotia in 1905 and it was called the Ugly Duckling?)  Deemed a World Heritage Site, this 2400 square miles of ecosystem has all what Wetlands could offer... from sawgrass, mangrove and cypress growth plus alligators, snakes, turtles, birds etc. KeyTip. So while a short ride on an Airboat ($40.00 for a 35min tour ) certainly will not cover a lot of area but you will get a glimpse of natures wonders.

Following another airboat into the Everglades
A farm also breeding alligators and as you can see of all stages of growth
No Swimming.........No Kidding hahahhaha
