Tuscany Wine Tour

Getting lost in Tuscany.......but having fun doing so hahahhaha

As i make my way into the true birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and the home of Michelangelo, da Vinci, Vespucci and others....its no wonder i got lost many times as the beauty of Toscana is intoxicating, but finally found my to Siena ( World Heritage Site in 1995) and my goal to have some of its famous Chianti

Superiore wine served from a fiasco (squat bottle in a straw basket). So i find a local producer who also gave me a tour of their facility and of course some samples, then i set up my version of a one man picnic lol and pulled out a loaf of crusty bread

olive oil plus some local Pecorino Toscano cheese. As i watch the sun go down over one of those "must see" places of our amazing planet, i say out loud "La Vita e Bella'.....life indeed is beautiful!

Many small wineries to be tasted

Key Tips for Travel

1) Passports; always have two copies with one left at home with a relative/friend and the other being stowed safely within your luggage. If your passport is ever lost or stolen take your copy to your consulate so they can trace the number and cancel the original.....then issue you a new one. Finally also have the contact info of your nearest consulate to where you will be traveling. 2) Call your Credit Card Companies and tell them to where you are traveling so they do not suspend your plastic on the suspicion of fraud. 3) Make sure you have enough coverage with your medical insurance. 4) If bringing a cell phone think ahead and get a service plan for your voice, text and data as you do not need to arrive home to a nasty phone bill for roaming charges. 5) Do not announce to the world via social networks you are traveling to alert some unwanted visitors to your home. 6) Leaving on the first plane in the morning will take the odds of delays out of the equation and with connecting flights please allow at least one hour apart 7) Always travel with two credit cards and use one for the car rental/hotel as they put extra charges on (to be dropped after) as it "ties" up your plastic for this period of time.
